Joe Caputo
REVERSE GLASS PAINTING is a technique Joseph Caputo has been working
on since 1999.
It involves the painting on the back side of glass in the reverse
order to achieve a unique two dimensional texture and feeling which
reflect different color schemes from all angles.
Nephew of artist Gianfranco Renzi and Grandson of the late artist
Giuseppe Renzi, Joseph Caputo was born in Chicago in 1965.
Working in his family flower business was his career for 20 years
but his true creative work was always painting.
In 2001 he sold his company to follow a path taken by his uncle and
late grandfather that started in Alvito Italy over 50 years ago.
As Joseph travels often between the United States and Italy, he has
established a studio in Rome Italy, and Phoenix Arizona.

Jennifer Phillips
A Midwestern native, Jennifer Phillips began honing and creating her
unique art and style soon after she relocated to the Southwest. The
beautiful desert terrain and complex geometric Native American
designs inspired Jennifer to create her one-of-a-kind glass pieces.
"The translucent qualities of glass, combined with vibrant color and
light, create a limitless palette of color - color that can
influence moods in a positive way."
Taking her inspiration from urban cityscapes to desert waterholes,
from the diverse Southwestern wildlife to brilliant sunsets, her
work takes on an organic quality - one that is rarely found in
jewelry.
"Because the pieces are see-through, the person's skin wearing the
piece becomes part of the art which in turn makes the person part of
the jewelry. There's a nice symmetry in that".
