The reality is that permanent micropigmentation makeup is permanent. The pigment particle remains under the skin but may fade over time. Touchups range from 1 to 10 years, meaning this will vary on an individual basis. The face also exfoliates at a faster rate than the body and is exposed to more sun and products.

The basic principles of traditional tattooing and cosmetic tattooing have many similarities and are related. However, the face is different than the body. Different colors are used. Meaning pigment, not ink in most cases and we use a lot of tertiary colors. Not straight primary colors that can last a lot longer under the skin.

The eyebrows frame the face and proper eyebrow shape can take years off your appearance. For many women, eyebrow application is the most time-consuming makeup to apply. Permanent eyebrows allows women the freedom to "wake up with makeup" and get a fast start on their day!
Women who have invested in permanent eyebrows appreciate the smear proof, hassle-free, moisture-proof coloring it provides.
Permanent eyeliner is made done through a procedure called cosmetic tattooing in which an inorganic pigment is implanted beneath the skin to add permanent color. Permanent eyeliner mimics traditional eyeliner but it is permanent. Permanent eyeliner will appear natural and attractive when performed by a trained medical professional.
Permanent lips makeup involves enhancement through the micropigmentation of the lips, focused on lip coloring. Permanent lips coloring is the placement of pigments throughout the entire lip. This process takes into account skin type, desired base color, and current lip shape.
You can bring back the rosy colors of youth to your lips with a permanent lip process. Lip liner can redefine the outer line of your lips to give them the symmetry or the fullness they lack. Permanent lip color has an added benefit of preventing traditional lipstick from bleeding into the surrounding skin.

This is a permanent procedure. Yes, color refreshers are a reality. Most experience artists have a touch up policy for the original work. The pigment is tattooed into the dermal layer of the skin. Once again this makes a procedure permanent, It is very important for us all to educate our clients. My motto is, "a well educated client is a happier client" and "less is more, when it comes to cosmetic tattooing".
Some clients will never fade. Others will need more regular color refreshers. The darker the color the longer it will look fresh. The lighter the color the faster it will fade. I do a lot of blonde clients and they do not mind having to come in every 2 to 3 years for an eyebrow refresher. They want a natural look that does not look tattooed or stamped on. Blue stays in the skin the longest and yellow fades the fastest. I have seen eyeliner last for over 20 years and look like it was just done...
