Federal Law requires Blood Borne Pathogens training and standard precautions to all tattoo artists and related fields.

Don't miss the fabulous David Vidra OSHA class. David is an outreach trainer for General Industry who specializes in BBP for the modification Community Tattooing piercing nail tech etc. He is a nurse and owns a piercing studio in Ohio. He teaches a very animated and professional class. Do not miss this event. If we can't say why we do what we do with each step of the way of our process we are a danger to ourselves and our clients, education is an on going process that is what makes a professional

The class is approximately 10 hours long and is required by federal law to take, unless you are a sole proprietor. This is an intense class with a ton of valuable information to protect you and your clients.

David Vidra will be coming to Arizona in January. Usually, you can take his class at the annual SPCP convention. He has agreed to come to us. What a treat!

David Vidra, owner of Body Work Productions, Inc., Cleveland's first piercing-only studio, has been involved in the piercing community for over 10 years. In addition to being a Licensed Practical Nurse and a Medical Assistant, he is a former Board Member and Director of The Association of Professional Piercers. David has worked extensively with the many states and countries to develop responsible piercing and tattoo regulations. David has also advised legislators and health officials in many states and was a member of the National Environmental Health Association Committee, which developed a model code for body modification.

David feels that education of the public, health officials and piercing and tattoo practitioners is essential to ensuring that all body modification is being performed in a safe manner. Health Educators, Inc., is dedicated to providing education in all aspects of body piercing, tattooing, both traditional and cosmetic and in the legislative arena as well. David also has served on the Board of directors for the SPCP, as the Health and Safety director. He is an out reach instructor for 10 and 30 hr programs for general industry. He has also written interpretations that have been accepted by OSHA for the piercing and tattoo industries. He has been honored with the Presidents award from the association of professional Piercers, and continues to develop new educational standards for the industry. He will also be receiving the Freeman award for outstanding leadership and promotion of freedom among fellow men.

He and His partner Kris Lachance - Peters are some of the first to write an Industry specific Blood Bourne Pathogens and infection control manual for the tattooing and piercing, and cosmetic tattooing arenas. Both have also served on committees with CDC, OSHA, and NIOSH. They have also written several interpretations for the modification industry in regards to the Blood Borne Pathogens standard.
