Things to think about prior to getting a tattoo;
1. Make sure you have eaten within 2 to three hours prior to your
tattoo. I will not tattoo you on an empty stomach. Also drink plenty of
water to make sure your skin is hydrated prior to getting a tattoo.
2. DO NOT consume any alcoholic
beverages with in 48 hours prior to your tattoo. No sun burns please.
3. Dress appropriately for your tattoo. I cannot tattoo through clothing,
and many times it gets in the way if it's too close to the tattoo.
Think stretchy pants and tank tops. Make
sure your cloths are very clean.
4. Please be realistic on your expectations of a tattoo. We cannot do a
quality tattoo on a client that moves excessively, is extremely sensitive to
the touch, or is overly nervous. A peaceful setting is required.
Please avoid clothing that may be ruined if stained during and after a
tattoo. It is also advised to have taken a shower prior to getting a tattoo
to help limit and bacteria on your skin. Especially, if coming from work.
5. You must be at least 18 years of age to receive a tattoo. Please
leave any entourages at home. All cell phones must be turned off during the
procedure, including anyone accompanying you.
6. No food is allowed in the tattoo area. DO NOT
bring your pets, they are not allowed unless it's a seeing eye dog.
7. Please do not bring your children in the shop,
and do not leave them in the car. If you have children, you need to get a
babysitter during your tattoo.
8. We will make an appointment for you when you know what you want tattooed
so we have time to work out any details or drawings. This needs to be done
prior to the actual scheduled tattoo sitting. Once healed if there are any
weak areas please give us a call to schedule a follow up no sooner than 6
weeks.
9. Think about what you're getting tattooed. They are
permanent, and therefore should be thought
about thoroughly. Don't get tattoos of images just because other people have
done it.
10. Please follow your aftercare procedure accurately. If you lose your
aftercare sheet given to you, you can find a copy on my website.
DO NOT ask your friends or anyone else how
to take care of your tattoo. Please consider your daily activities. No sun
pre or post, swimming or labor that increases your chance of an infection or
healing issues. This is an open wound until healed!
11. If you are sick, re-schedule your appointment.
12. Please do not wear a lot of perfume. It is advised to purchase some
Curel or fragrant free Lubriderm prior to your appointment.
13. If you are pregnant or breast feeding we will not tattoo you.
A cheap tattoo can be a bad tattoo. We follow extreme measures to keep
your safety in mind and use only single use products and state of the art
methods of sterilization.
